Food for Thought |
- Has this ever happened to me? Where do I rank myself in relation to others?
- Do I always look for the place of honor, or on the other hand do I let people walk all over me?
- I imagine myself at the table with Jesus after everyone else has left, and talk to him about this.

ARE YOU NEW TO OUR PARISH? WELCOME!
Welcome to those who want to make our parish their faith home. You may have come from other places. You may have been “away for a while”. Be assured that we love to have you among us. We would appreciate it very much if you identified yourself at Mass. It would also help if you would take the time to fill out a registration form. The next time you are with us, you may leave it in the collection basket or give it to one of the ushers or to the priest. Thank you and welcome.

FAREWELL TO FATHER BILL
Last week marked the end of another chapter in our Parish Life History book as we bid Father Bill a fond farewell. He has left from here to serve the parish of St. Mark in Aylmer. Our last word of thanks expressed at both those Sunday masses of last weekend are reprinted here, upon request:
You have been God’s Gatekeeper for this little flock for the past 6 years, Faithfully pointing to Christ.
Perhaps we were all heeding the whispers of the Spirit, because with your leadership and enthusiasm, a joint parish pastoral council was re-instated and made viable here; AND because of your encouragement and patience, many parishioners have stepped up to responsibilities concerning the growth of our Parish Life and its activities; growing into True Witnesses of the Good News that we are meant to share.
In these past 6 years, you have journeyed with us in the joys, sorrows,
failures and successes that life here is all about – challenging, comforting,
teaching – and ever showing us the face of Christ.
So, we thank God for sending such a prophet to our little community; and we thank you for sharing your faith, your life with us here;
and as God’s priestly people, together we pray:
May God continue to bless you and keep you.
May God continue to let his face shine on you and be gracious to you.
May God continue to show you his face and bring you peace always and forever.
Amen!
[from Numbers 6: 24-26]
