- We see here a community living in the Spirit, as brothers and sisters in Christ, as children of the father.
- Christian life is meant to be lived in community. It is a sharing of the Spirit with others, in the body of Christ. It is not a private dialogue with Jesus.
- We discover the Lord in relationship with others. Can I work on that today.

SHARE LENT
Across Canada on March 29th 2009, we celebrated Solidarity Sunday, the fifth Sunday in Lent, with the Share Lent collection. The collection envelopes were held until Easter - the amounts collected are: $1047:00 at OLV and $485:00 at St. Malachy.
The Gospel reading on March 29th reminded us that “Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” John 12:20-33. Our two-parish community has shown its usual generosity with its donations to Development and Peace, and this will bear much fruit as well. Your donations, through Development and Peace, support more than 200 partners in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Each partner organization in turn touches the lives of many thousands. Your donations allow that to happen. Many thanks!
HUNGER MEAL
On Sunday April 5th, the Catholic churches in our area sponsored a Development and Peace Hunger Meal, a solidarity meal to promote awareness of the work being done by our partners in the south. The Hunger Meal was held at the Community Center on Joseph Street where Development and Peace volunteers from our local communities shared with us their experiences during a recent exposure trip to Sierra Leone, Africa and their encounter with Development and Peace partners. The free-will donations box was tallied the next day by Fr. Gérald Montminy from the St. Grégoire parish – a total of $500 has been forwarded to Development and Peace.

SPRING SUPPER
To be held on May 29th, in the Our Lady of Victory Church hall. TICKETS WILL GO ON SALE NEXT SUNDAY APRIL 26th. There will be a limited number of tickets available, so please buy your tickets early or reserve them by calling Raymond at (819)986-6366. More details will follow.
CANCER SOCIETY RELAY FOR LIFE 2009
Just a reminder that the Buckingham Relay for Life will take place on: Friday, June 5, starting at 7:00pm Friday until 7:00 am Saturday morning at Park McAndrew.
