Allow me to introduce myself:
My name is Father Greg Murray SCJ. The SCJ signifies that I am a member of the religious congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart. That means that I am a religious priest, and therefore not tied to any particular diocese.
I was born and raised in Montreal, Québec in an anglophone family. I am the middle child of three. My mother now lives in PEI and my father passed away eight years ago. I was raised a Catholic but did not practice my faith for many years.
I returned to the Church in 1994, as a parishioner at St. Dunstan’s in Charlottetown. I took my final vows with my religious congregation in 2003 and was ordained to the priesthood in 2004. I have ministered mostly in parishes in the Ottawa diocese, but lately have spent three years in the Diocese of Montreal, where I worked in three francophone parishes.
I am very pleased to be working now in the diocese of Gatineau. Thank you all for your warm welcome. |
