Welcome to those who want to make our parish their faith home. You may have come from other places. You may have been “away for a while”. Be assured that we love to have you among us. We would appreciate it very much if you identified yourself at Mass. It would also help if you would take the time to fill out a registration form. The next time you are with us, you may leave it in the collection basket or give it to one of the ushers or to the priest. Thank you and welcome.

BAPTISM
Baptism in Jesus’ name, makes us united with Jesus Christ, which includes becoming members of Christ’s Body, the Church, or a member of God’s holy people. That is not a vaguely spiritual matter, but a concrete one of membership in an actual real parish community and of being active in its life. To-day during the Eucharistic Celebration at our Lady of Victory, we will also be celebrating a Baptism. As we join the parents to celebrate with them the Baptism of their child, please welcome him into our Faith Community:

PPC MEETING
The next PPC meeting will be held on August 26th, at 7:15 p.m.

WEEKDAY MASSES
Do you have a preference for the day or time of our week-day Mass? This will begin again in September. May we have your comments, please. We are trying to encourage more people to attend this Mass.

GARAGE SALE
Our Lady of Annunciation Parish is holding a garage sale on September 6th, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. info: 771-4613, 777-8825.

GARAGE SALE
The OLV Society will be holding a Garage Sale on Saturday, September 13th, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No big items or clothes will be accepted. On Friday the church will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to accept your goods. Call Monique at 986-3166 if pick up is required. Also if you would like to sell your own goods, you can purchase a table for $10.00 and are responsible to take away your goods at closing time.

Please help us make this a successful event.

SPAGHETTI SUPPER
The Buckingham Elementary School will be holding their 2nd annual spaghetti supper on September 20th, There will also be a silent auction and entertainment. For more information or tickets please call Sheila at (819) 986-2958 or Darlene at (819)986-7595. The cost is as follows:
     Adults: $10:00
     Children 6-12: $5:00
     Children 5 and under: free

CANCER BOTTLE DRIVE
Are you tired of seeing all those empty soda bottles, cans and beer bottles hanging around? I will gladly pick these up (or you can bring them to the church every Sunday) turn them into cash and donate to the 2009 Relay for Life event.

This event will be held on June the under the Brady Bridge. You were all generous in helping us make this a success event: Will you help me accomplish this again?

I am looking at this as my project, from now until May 2009, please call 986-3166 to begin to fulfill this dream.

USED STAMPS
One cancelled stamp can help feed a child for a day. If you would like to Support the Redemptorist Mission Stamp Collection, there will be a box at the entrance of the church to collect your stamps, and they will be forwarded to the Missions.
