- Jesus was being pushed from all sides, but he could distinguish between the anonymous jostling of bodies in a crowd, and the visceral desire for healing in the touch of the ailing woman.
- His healing action was never magical or impersonal. It cost hi, for it was empowered by prayer, fasting and a personal affection for those he cured.

56th PILGRIMAGE TO OUR LADY OF KNOCK SHRINE
The Pilgrimage at St. Malachy’s Church in Mayo will take place on Sunday, August 8th, 2010. The mass presider and the homilist will be Archbishop Terrence Prendergast, S.J., Archbishop of Ottawa.

HEART AND SOUL GOSPEL SINGERS TO JOIN OLV CHOIR
On Sunday June 27th, the Heart and Soul Gospel Singers will join the OLV choir and sing several gospel hymns, as part of our Mass Celebration. The Heart and Soul Choir recently held a concert and were very well received by those in attendance.
PRAYERS & SYMPATHY
Please remember Kellard McDonnell in your prayers. His funeral was held on Thursday June 16th at OLV. Also remember his wife Eunice, son Bruce, sister Beatrice, brother Bernie and all other members of the McDonnell & Burke family. Our prayers and sympathy are with them during this difficult time.
THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS
Last Saturday (June 5th), a number of volunteers joined together to clean up the OLV Rectory. Windows, walls and ceilings were washed and curtains cleaned. It was a great team effort and thank you to all those who volunteered their time and effort. It was a great community effort.
OLV WARDENS MEETING
The monthly wardens meeting will be held on Thursday June 17th at 7:30 in the church rectory. Please note the change in time.
St. Grégoire Cemetery Update – Part 2
The committee responsible for updating the cemetery files of the St Grégoire Cemetery have requested our assistance in trying to locate the descendants/relatives of certain persons buried in the cemetery. Many of these grave sites are very old and there may be no immediate family members or relatives either alive or living in this area. Each week, we will identify some names and if you are a relative or have any information regarding relatives/descendants, please advise Alma at 819-986-3763.

BLOOD DONOR CLINIC
- is being held on Thursday, June 17th, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. At the Showroom of Carle Ford, located at 901 Dollard Street, Buckingham. Please donate if possible.
CHURCH FUNERAL PARKING
Please note that when there is a funeral at our church, a member of the church will contact the City of Gatineau to obtain a parking tolerance. This tolerance will include the streets surrounding the church - Charles Street, Joseph Street, Pine Street and MacLaren Street only. It does not include the parking lot behind the fire station - the parking time limit must be respected in that lot.
This tolerance is usually effective 1 hour prior to the funeral service to 2-3 hours after the service. (Example: if service is at 11:00 am - parking tolerance will be from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm). After this time frame, the regular 2-3 hour parking restriction becomes effective.
NOTE: All No Parking and Handicap Parking must be respected at all times. Parking tolerance or not.
OLV GARAGE SALE
There will be a Garage Sale on Saturday, September 18th in the Church basement. Anyone wishing to donate items may contact Monique at 986-3166 for pick up arrangements. Please note: No clothing, shoes, huge furniture, old magazines or hard covered books will be accepted.
